Over the Chinese New Year Holidays, I made a short one week trip to Japan with my wife. It was a much delayed trip as I was supposed to be there during the Magic of Love (MOL) show in Japan last october. Thank God for another air ticket which I bought from a colleague at $450 using his Miles. I thought it was a good time then as my wife was 5 months into her pregnancy and would be a wonderful time to go for a trip before our baby come along in the end of June. We stayed mainly in Tokyo but made a short two and a half hour bus trip and spent one night in Kawaguchiko, a lake resort at the foot of Mt Fuji. It was pretty and we managed to catch a glimpse of Mt Fuji on the second day when the clouds cleared. It was majestic and we were awed by the Lord's creation. It was also an answered prayer as I thought it would be a pity if we didn't get to see the beautiful sight.
One of the main highlights of the trip was a visit to Tokyo Sunshine Church on sunday. After the morning service, we had lunch with the senior pastor of the church, followed by the entire afternoon of sharing our journey as a G12 church. We were blessed by their hospitality and more importantly, the impartation of faith as we witnessed the how Chinese in Japan working with the Japanese counterparts to see the gospel preached in Japan. Later in the night, a brother, Han De offered to bring us out to Harajuku and Shibuya to experience the sleepless city and bought us dinner as well. Thank God for his generousity and love.
We also visited Hard Rock Cafe in Roppongi, Tokyo Tower in Shiba and the rainbow bridge at Odaiba, not forgetting the Imperial palace and Tokyo Metropolitan Edo-Tokyo Museum. It was truly a fruitful trip and thank God for keeping us safe throughout the holiday.
Hey.. Great to see you changed to Vox and starting to blog again! Keep it up..
