Now that the confinement lady has left, I have to take over a significant amount of work such as washing, cooking and cleaning. One thing I'm trying to do to share the work with my wife with regards to parenting is bathing my daughter. Its a real challenge but I guess thats one of the only way which the father can bond with the child. I certainly can't breastfeed her!
To date, I have bathe her 2-3 times. Bathing is actually quite simple but have to be careful that she urinates or pass motion on you while bathing. Well, I guess it come with practice and I have 2 solid weeks to improve. After that, I hope I can continue to do that over the weekends once I return to work.
We are also experiencing new things now that baby is not really sleep that much which we will like her to and we also cannot understand why. Could it be that the confinement lady has been patting her to sleep? Could it be due to visitors who came over yesterday for the full month celebration? Could it be this, that etc? I have not a single clue!
I think spiritual parenting is similar to physical parenting. The feeling of frustration when I cannot understand why things happen the way they did. Oh, I cannot use word to describe that kind of feeling but it is certainly there even now, when I'm fathering spiritual children.. However, in the same way, the Lord did say that we can ask him for wisdom and thats my prayer today, that the Lord will give me wisdom to parenting because I want to succeed and to do well in this area as I believe the fruit of this labour will yield eternal blessing.
Hey bro, good to hear that you are learning to be a father. We hope we will be good parents too when our baby is born this coming Dec. The photos of Leianne were great. Joe said she resembles you and mum. Keep up the good work.
