The pace of life in the 2nd week of January 08 has definitely picked up as people are returning from their holidays. Thus, I have been struggling to come before God during office time to wait on Him. Thank God I'm still keeping to Word before food every morning and that has somehow grown deeper in my heart. I pray that the root will reach deep into the ground and touch the life giving water for my spirit.
Well, good news on Monday as the balloting exercise was favourable to us as we are in the 3% who will get to choose a unit at Telok Blangah Towers. Come Monday night, Belle got into her first little accident as she scratched a car in the compass point car park. The car owner called us up after seeing the note on his windscreen and kept saying that he was surprised that we did that as many would have driven off. Well, we offered to pay for the minor spray painting job and hopefully, it wouldn't cost us too much. Money is a small issue, am thankful that no one was hurt, especially her.
Was reading the scripture this morning and came across the passage in 1 Peter 4: 1- 11
Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same ATTITUDE, because he who has suffered in his body is done with sin. As a result, he does not live the rest of his earthly life for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God.....
I knew from the word that what we did was right in the sight of God immediately and I sensed God saying that to me through this passage of scripture!
As I read, I also remembered Jon's mum. When I visited her in the hospital during lunch on wednesday, one thing that caught my attention was her bible on her bed. Although her body was weak from illness, I could sense the faith in Christ. Jon's grandma was there as well and she was the one who initiated us to pray. RIGHT ATTITUDE, I thought. The scripture continues to say in verse 7
The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self controlled so that you can PRAY. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering GOD'S GRACE in various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things, God be praised through Jesus Christ.
I remember asking Belle if it make any difference whether I visit auntie or not.... Again, God's word says that it made a difference... God's grace was administered, not just for auntie and the family, but more importantly, for myself. I speak and work as if its with His mouth and arms. I administer God's grace! What a privilege!
Thank you Lord for the word!
Well, some other happenings this week :
Leianne fell sick for the first time on tuesday. Doctor said its sensitive nose and gave her nose drip. She is still having "runny" nose today. Pray that she will get well soon.
We also missed the first leader's meeting of the year as it was my grandma's birthday.... I would have missed the dinner but after po po incident and looking at the state my grandma is in now, I reckoned that we do not many more dinners together since she is already so old. Pray that the old folks will experience God's grace this year as we spend more time with them.
